Thank you all for coming out to the Roy Gene Fundraiser this past Saturday. I was so proud of the wonderful response from the Bryan/College Station community. A BIG THANK YOU to Butch and the BBQ team and everyone who volunteered - you guys were GREAT!
So during the fundraiser, I was trying to do my part to help. In addition to the live broadcast, I was assisting the BBQ team behind the scenes. That's when it happened. Butch was carrying an extremely hot pan of BBQ sausage when the pan began to fold in on itself. Recognizing that the sausage was in serious jeopardy, I sprang into action and grabbed the edge of the pan. Did I mention it was REALLY HOT? Well, it was REALLY HOT! I managed to blister the tips of all my fingers on my right hand. That's right, I'm typing this entire blog as a left. Oh, the things I do for Roy.
